How to Achieve the “No Makeup Look”

This is one of my favourite looks, especially for the summer. It’s fresh and clean, easy to accomplish and easy to maintain for the whole day, especially on hot summer days. To accomplish this look I used, Make Up Forever HD foundation, Benefit Sun Beam, Cinema Secrets concealer, Smashbox Brow Tech, Kryolan Cream Blush, Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara, Annabelle Black Liner.

Step 1:

Cleanse your face, make sure you have no traces of any makeup.

Step 2:

Your skin should be completely flawless, exfoliate & moisturize your skin.

To exfoliate I used Brand New Day exfoliant from One Love Organics.

Step 3:

Mix a liquid bronzer and your foundation to create one solution. Apply all over the face to get full coverage. If you have blemishes that won’t cover with foundation, work in concealer really well with your fingers to cover those areas.

Step 4:

If you want you can contour your face with a darker concealer below your cheek bone to define your cheeks and highlight with a lighter concealer on your cheek bones. I usually also do a little on the bridge of my nose and a touch on my forehead.

Step 5:

Using a cream blush, use your fingers to work in the product starting from the apple of your cheek brushing back towards your ears. Blend it in really well making it look completely natural.

Step 6:

If you like to fill in your eyebrows usually but you want a little less for this look, use a little less than you generally would. If you use a pencil make sure it is as sharp as possible because this will make it easier to feather in without making them look unnatural. If you use powder use a slightly lighter colour, gently brushing it into the hairs. Once you’ve applied your product use a disposable mascara wand to brush it in really well so it looks like your natural brow.

Step 7:

Using a black pencil liner, only on the top part of your eye right below your lashes, apply tight liner. Now this can be a little tricky and it can feel a little uncomfortable but it’s a wicked trick I promise you. It helps open up your eye without showing any makeup at all, so you truly look like you put no effort in. Then brush a tiny bit of mascara on your lashes or if you really love mascara apply your normal amount.

Step 8:

Apply lip gloss, vaseline, lip chap, whatever lip stuff you want and you are good to go! You look completely flawless, appearing like you have no makeup on and are naturally and effortlessly stunning!

There you have it ladies, the “No Makeup Look”, perfect for the summer because it gives you that nice dewy finish and you do not have worry about your face getting shiny or melting off. It’s light weight and easy to maintain on a hot summer day!

Happy Monday!

  1. Benefit’s Sunbeam looks great! Would you say that it’s a great highlighter on its own? I’ve been wanting to try it, but Watts Up might be a better choice for highlighting purposes… 😛

    • It is great! I would say it’s better used as a liquid bronzer, instead of a highlighter. Watts Up is definitely better for highlighting purposes, it’s actually one of my favourite products to use when I’m highlighting! You should definitely try out Sun Beam thought it’s a great product for the summer!

      • It isn’t summer anymore where I’m from, but I don’t think that should stop me. 😀 Thank you so much. I’ll take your word for it. 🙂
