Summer Luxe Box | By Loose Button

IMG_7954Hello my loves,

So this is my first Beauty Box review and I’m so excited about it! I decided to sign up for Luxe Box’s from Lou Lou because they offer seven to eight samples each month from really high-end beauty brands. I opted for the 12-month plan, so they send you a box every 3 months, which costed me $96.00 which is a really good deal considering how many high end products I get to try! I have had a chance to review the majority of the products I received, there are a couple I still need to take some time to get a better idea of what I think of them!

IMG_7925Knotties Hair Ties: $10.00

“Stay cool in the summer heat by keeping your hair away from your face without the creases.”

I have to say of all the colours I could have received from what I’ve seen, I’m very happy with these two neutral colours! Especially since I have brown hair, it blends really well with my hair when I tie it up! These are great because they don’t leave a crease in your hair when you tie it up! I wore the brown one on a 2 hour bike ride and my hair had no cinks or creases when I took my hair down! Unbelievable! These will be great when I work on my clients, I’ll now be able to pull my hair back without worrying about ruining my hair!

IMG_7928Just Cavalli Eau de Toilette Spray: $66.00

“Just now. Just free. Just lust. Just Cavalli. Just Cavalli for her is a sexy and provocative new fragrance by Roberto Cavalli. This creamy, sexy floral opens with a dazzling top note of Neroli, an essential oil produced from blossoms of the bitter orange tree. The fragrance is followed by a magnetic heart note of the precious Tahitian Tiare flower and grounded by a creamy palissander wood accord that adds power and nobility. Fresh, intense and alluring, Just Cavalli is the scent of youth and seduction.”

Love the smell!!! I am super picky about perfume, but I absolutely adore this scent. I usually only wear Marc Jacobs Daisy, but I am for sure going to switch it up so I can wear this scent. It has an enticing floral and flirty scent, just love it! I might have to go purchase this when I run out of my mini one! Plus isn’t the bottle just adorable?

IMG_7951Sleek Stick by Essie: $10.00

“Re-create chic looks fresh from the runway without picking up a brush.”

Not going to lie, I have never been a fan of stickers or stick on nails. I am definitely going to give them a try, to see how well they last and how easy they are to apply. However, I’m really not a fan of the colour I received or the pattern, since I could create this look without stick ons. It makes me want to try them even less because of the colour. A full review on these to come!

Kérastase Elixir Ultime The Imperial: $54.00

“Coloured hair is left feeling beautifully nourished and protected, looking radiant and glossy with a sensual softness.”

My hair after having used Elixir Ultime The Imperial: Looks nice and smooth, however I do find it looks sort of flat and boring.

I have used the original serum from this collection, Elixir Ultime in the gold bottle and I absolutely adore it! I usually don’t like putting any sort of oil in my hair because it tends to weigh it down and eventually look greasy. However, just using the Elixir Ultime on my ends makes my hair feel and look super silky smooth without weighing it down! I was very excited to try this product because I assumed it would be similar! Unfortunately this particular serum from the collection does weigh my hair down and I found it got greasy by the end of the day. It smells amazing and I love the packaging. It would probably be good for most people who colour their hair and have dehydrated hair! It just isn’t the product for me, but all in all it is a great product.

IMG_7927Heavy Cream Intensive Hand Repair Balm by Cake Beauty: $22.00

“This supremely hydrating formula renews and protects hands for immediate and long lasting results. Made with 20% shea butter, this warm french vanilla scent melts into skin.”

I’m already very in love with Cake Beauty products, so I was so excited to receive a full size Heavy Cream hand cream in this Luxe Box! It smells so delicious! The cream is a little on the thicker side, hence the name heavy cream. It can be difficult to get out of the bottle, but so worth it once you do! It absorbs into your skin quite quickly, so you are not left with greasy feelings hands, leaving a sensational scent behind that lasts practically all day.

IMG_7942Clinique High Impact Mascara: $16.00

“A richly pigmented mascara that kicks up the volume of each individual lash.”

As far as mascara’s go this one is pretty good. I still would choose Bobbi Brown’s Mascara over this any day if I was willing to spend more money on mascara, however for $16.00 you are getting a pretty good deal. It’s kind of your in between priced mascara, not super expensive and not super cheap. I do enjoy the brush, it’s thick and covers all your lashes.

IMG_7938Purity Cleanser by Philosophy: $26.00

“Our award-winning daily facial skin cleanser is formulated to gently cleanse, tone and melt away all face and eye makeup in one simple step, while lightly hydrating the skin.”

I like the cleanser I use on a daily basis, I don’t like to switch it up or try new ones because I can be very set in my ways. I did try this once, but I should probably give it more of chance. I think it’s a great cleanser, gets rid of all your makeup and really cleanses the face well. However, I find it leaves a dried out feeling once my face dries which I don’t like and I’m also not a fan of the smell of the cleanser. Philosophy has great products that I love, not saying this is bad cleanser because it is not at all, just not one I would use on a daily basis. It will be good for when I’m travelling!

IMG_7945Vichy Liftactive Serum 10 Eyes & Lashes: $45.00

“With continued use, wrinkles are lessened and eyelashes appear thicker, shinier, and more fortified!”

I have not had a chance to test this product out quite yet. I will post a full review on this product once I get a chance to try it a few times. I’m very excited about trying this new product, I love trying new eye creams and serums.

IMG_7949Vichy Aqualia Thermal Night Spa:$38.35

“For a powerful beauty transformation overnight: wake up to skin fresher than ever.”

I did get a chance to try this mask out. However, I was a little irritated because there were no instructions on the back of the sample package which I find extremely strange considering masks should have instructions. I had to look up the directions on the Vichy website, which I’m not very impressed by. Other than that it is a fantastic product, when you first apply it, it leaves a nice cool sensation on your skin. The texture is smooth and silky, very easy to apply. I will definitely be considering buying the full size of this lovely mask now that I know how to use it!

Apply a thick layer to face and neck.

Let the product absorb into your skin for about 10-15 minutes.

Gently massage any excess into the skin.

Once the product is absorbed you can go to sleep and let the product continue to work through the night!

IMG_7931OLAY CC Cream: $22.99

“Introducing Beauty’˜s Next Big Trend! Olay CC Cream provides instant Coverage plus Correction to fight 7 signs of aging, including uneven tone, age spots, and wrinkles.”

I have not had a chance to try this cream yet. I am very skeptical about this product, I’m not sure about all these BB Creams and CC Creams, it all seem a little ridiculous to me, but who am I judge I haven’t really had a chance to try any of them out yet. A full review on this product to come!
