TARTE: Amazonian Treasures Collection

My loves,

I received this lovely gift at Sephora with my mass amounts of points! Clearly I spend too much money at Sephora! But little gifts like this make for a good blog! It also really makes it worth it to spend all that money!!

IMG_8647IMG_8652Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush: $26.00

“A long-wearing, supremely soft blush infused with Amazonian clay harvested from the banks of the Amazon River and naturally baked by the sun.”

I absolutely love this blush! I actually was quite surprised by how much I love it! I have been using this particular blush over my usual blush from NARS. It glides on smooth and leaves a perfect amount of pigment on the skin that lasts all day! I also love that it’s a matte blush, shimmer sometimes makes my skin look oily! I will definitely be purchasing this again!

IMG_8651Pure Maracuja Oil: $46.00

“This nutrient-rich oil contains vitamin C and essential fatty acids to hydrate sensitive, dry, and acne prone skin, leaving skin even toned and smooth without a greasy feel. Pure maracuja oil is a hydrating treatment oil known for its anti-aging and healing properties for firmer, brighter, and smoother looking skin, and will not cause breakouts.”

This is a perfect oil for the skin at night. It leaves your skin feeling super smooth and well hydrated. I love that it’s unscented and that you don’t require a lot of product. It will definitely last me a long time, so its for sure worth the money. A little goes a long way.

IMG_8658IMG_8659Amazonian Clay Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow: $25.00

“A waterproof cream eye shadow powered by skintuituve™ Amazonian clay to effortlessly create a soft or smoky eye.”

This eyeshadow is great for a younger crowd, myself included. It has a lot of pigment and shimmer too it, which tends to not look great a more mature skin. It creates a fantastic night eye, a dark brown smokey eye. It doesn’t crease and lasts all night. I’m very impressed because generally cream shadows tend to crease.

IMG_8662Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder: $29.00

“A translucent, silky finishing powder with Amazonian clay that keeps makeup in place and diffuses imperfections.”

This is a great finishing powder to set your makeup with. I don’t know if I would purchase it to be perfectly honest but I’m also really biased because I’m obsessed with Makeup Forever’s HD finishing powder. But this product does set the makeup and gets rid of any shine.

IMG_8666Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara: $19.00

“An Amazonian clay smart mascara that instinctively treats your unique lash concerns- working overtime to keep lashes hydrated, intact, healthier, and stronger, while delivering the appearance of voluminous lashes.”

This mascara is pretty good and it is also reasonably priced. It’s not crazy like some mascara’s. The brush isn’t particularly my favorite but it goes on nicely and lasts all day. It did take a few applications to get my lashes to the consistency that I wanted but it was eventually achieved. Would I purchase it? Probably not, only because I don’t like to spend a lot of money on mascara and if I do there are other mascara’s that I prefer much more.

Overall I was very happy with this little goody bag I received at Sephora at my last visit. I have literally hundreds of points and I always save them for great gifts like this particular one. So save your points for the good gifts ladies, they come very rarely and I promise they are worth waiting for.

What do you think of tarte cosmetics?

Laurelle, xo

  1. I got a trial size of the mascara awhile back as a free gift with purchase and I’m sad to say I wasn’t impressed. I felt like the only thing it did was make my eyelashes darker but it didn’t do anything as far as length or volume was concerned. Maybe they’ve improved the formula since then.
