When I opened my Ipsy parcel I was immediately pleased with the bag all the products came in. I think it’s adorable. The products for this months glam bag are amazing. They are all perfect for these hot summer months. I’m particularly pleased with the anti-frizz styling cream, as someone with curly hair it’s definitely a must in the summer!

Glam Bag Products:

Carol’s Daughter Sacred Tiare Anti-Breakage & Anti-Frizz Styling Cream  Full Size $12.00

“Say goodbye to unmanageable frizz and hair breakage, and hello to frizz-free and fortified hair. This protective blow dry cream repairs as it freezes your sleek style into place as you blow-dry and flat-iron so you can have unmatched control and hair that’s healthier than before.”

IMG_3824I always have problems with my frizzy hair, especially in the summer time with all the humidity. This styling cream from Carol’s Daughter actually works. I know for myself I’m always skeptical about hair products that claim to help with frizz because a lot of the time they don’t. I used it to blow dry my hair the other day and it happened to be a very hot humid day and my hair stayed frizz free! I may have to purchase the full size when I run out!

Realtree for Her  Full Size   $19.99

“Realtree for Her opens up with the sweet taste of pomegranate, a hint of persimmon and an exotic scent of orchids. It blends with lotus blossom and champaca flower and is followed by the rich scent of amber, the transient scent of violets and the depth of mahogany wood. This scent is not only a whirlwind of feelings, but it stands alone with the Realtree brand. Giving you the excellence of Realtree and the softness of perfume.”

IMG_3814I was intrigued right away when I first saw this little perfume from Realtree. And then I was extremely disappointed because my sprayer did not work. I finally got a little spritz out of it after many attempts. The packaging is extremely cheap, I only hope the actual size would spray better. I actually love the scent, is soft, floral and very feminine. It’s sweet and succulent, absolutely perfect for the summer. I would love to buy the full size.

Nicka K New York Shimmer Eyeliner in Blue  Full Size   $4.99

“Add an instant touch of sparkling glamour with Nicka K New York Shimmer Eyeliners. Specially formulated, and equipped with a foam tip applicator for effortless glide, and water, smudge, and fade-resistant long wear. Available in twelve twinkling shades and two impact matte shades!”

IMG_3827 IMG_3829I’m not going to lie I was completely put off by this eyeliner when I first saw it in my bag. I hate receiving blue shadow, blue eyeliner, I’m never going to wear it. It looks good on some people, but it’s really not my thing. But I have to admit I was really impressed by this eyeliner when I swatched it. The pigment is intense and strong. It has crazy strong staying power, I tried to remove it immediately and I had to use makeup remover to even make it budge. If you love blue eyeliner, then this one from Nicka K New York is perfect for you and it’s super cheap!

OFRA Universal Eyebrow Pencil  $13.00

“OFRA’s Universal Eyebrow Pencil is a resistant pencil suitable for the most sensitive eye area. It is the perfect solution for your eyebrows and is called Universal Eyebrow Pencil for a reason as it is one color to suit all skin tones. It is soft enough and will make it easy for you to create a perfect shape.”

IMG_3817First off I completely disagree that this eyebrow pencil from OFRA is perfect for everyone. It would definitely not work for everyone’s colour. I don’t really like that it’s a selling point. The colour is actually a little light for my eyebrows and it would be too dark for anyone who is blond. I don’t really love eyebrow pencils because it tends to look really harsh. When I fill my eyebrows in I always use powder.

NYX Butter Gloss in Eclair   Full Size   $5.00

“Buttery soft and silky smooth, the scrumptious new NYX Butter Lip Gloss tastes as sweet as a sugar cookie—and makes your lips look downright luscious. Swipe it on alone or over your favorite lipstick for creamy sheer to medium coverage that melts onto your lips and is never sticky.”
IMG_3821 IMG_3832This is by far my favorite product in the bag! I’m obsessed with this lip butter from NYX. I seriously don’t know why I don’t buy more NYX products because they are all so amazing. This lip butter is freaking fantastic. It glides on the lips with such ease and is extremely moisturizing. It doesn’t have the greatest staying power but most lip glosses don’t. It’s not sticky at all and when it wears away your lips are left feeling soft and moisturized. It also has a lovely vanilla scent. I will most definitely be purchasing more of these lip butters.
Well, that’s all the products from this months Ipsy Glam Bag. Overall, I quite enjoyed trying all the products for the month and I found a new lip gloss/butter that I’m now obsessed with. That is what is great about these Ipsy Glam Bag’s, every once in a while you really find a gem among all the beauty products.
