I hope everyone had a lovely Canada Day, for those of you who are Canadian! I know I had an amazing long weekend! I was lucky this past weekend because I actually got to have a 3 day long weekend, every once in a while working in the beauty industry has its perks. I usually don’t get a long weekend because holidays generally land on a Monday and I already have Mondays off.
Moving on, I have a lovely item from Make Up For Ever to share with all of you today. The New Aqua Matic eye shadow pencil. I was very excited when I saw that this lovely eye pencil was coming out and even more thrilled when Make Up For Ever sent me my very own to try! I chose to try the Metallic Pinky Beige shade.
“Simplify your make up routine with an eye-catching new collection of smudge-proof colour that stays put no matter where the day, or night, may take you. The latest addition to MAKE UP FOR EVER’S coveted Aqua family,
new Aqua Matic is a range of long-lasting, glide-on eye shadow pencils created for make up pros and novices alike.”
Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Matic’s ultra-gliding, creamy texture goes on smoothly and blends easily. This glide-on eyeshadow offers crease-proof, high-intensity colour, with a lightweight finish making it a must have for everyone! I’m obsessed. From the moment I swatched this eyeshadow pencil I was hooked. The promise of colour intensity delivers, the pigment is amazing and the staying power is even more incredible.

The combination of Silica, Oils and Polymers create a flexible film that locks water out to guarantee long-lasting, smudge-proof and crease-proof colour. When it says it locks out water it’s actually crazy impressive. Removing this eyeshadow pencil with even makeup remover was difficult. It’s a perfect makeup tool for the summer if you like to keep some makeup on while you swim, I promise it won’t budge.
“Aqua Matic is available in 10 shades from neutral to vibrant with satin, metallic, diamond or iridescent finishes and is packaged in a convenient retractable pencil. Swipe your favorite color across your lid for a quick and easy look, or create a multicolored effect by layering on additional shades and blend with fingers or a brush.”
Now the only thing that I don’t love about these eyeshadow pencils is that they are full of shimmer and glitter. I don’t love shimmer on my eyes but I do have to say it’s growing on me a little. It’s 100% a personally preference but this is definitely a makeup tool I can use in my professional kit. I know all my clients will love this pinky beige eyeshadow pencil. Heck, you might even see me wearing more often than even I would think! It also blends beautifully with powder eyeshadow which is what I did in the above picture with a dark brown in the outer corners.
