Healthy Eating and All That Jazz

This post is not technically about beauty but when we eat healthy, don’t we get radiant looking skin? I know I do. So I’m on this health kick where I’m trying to eat better and more healthy as well as kick up my workout routine. In this post I am going to tell you about a lovely cook book I was recommended by a friend that is so delicious and healthy it doesn’t even make sense. And what I love about this cook book is it originated from a blog! Which I think is so amazing and inspiring. So this lovely delicious healthy cook book that I am raving about is called ‘Oh She Glows’ by Angela Liddon.

I live with my sister so we often try to coordinate meals so we cook together and when I say together I mean she usually cooks FOR me because I’m a terrible cook. However, I am trying very hard to get better cooking which is where this book comes in handy. The recipes are quick and easy, even for an amateur like myself. Last evening we decided to make the Portobello ‘Steak’ Fajitas which is AMAZING, I can’t even tell you. We have made this a couple of times and every time I take the first bite I’m blown away.

Whoever said healthy food can’t taste great did not have this cook book. Now all the recipes are vegan, but don’t let that stop you from picking up this book. All people can benefit from this book, even meat lovers which I do eat by the way.

This book has everything from smoothies, granola bars, humus and burgers. It’s really incredible. Every recipe I have tried so far has been delicious. This cookbook also includes many allergy-friendly recipes–with over 90 gluten-free recipes–and many recipes free of soy, nuts, sugar, and grains too!
