Ipsy Glam Bag| July 2014

My loves,

Here comes the sun and a Glam Bag full of beauty products so good that even the sun would worship it. There isn’t a gray cloud in sight this summer as we give you an amazing selection of brands and products fit to help keep you looking your best during summer’s brightest days and warm long nights.

From a selection of 21 products the Ipsy Glam team carefully selected 5 products for each Ipsy Member determined by their Ipsy profile. This glam bag has to be my favorite glam bag I think I have ever received. It’s probably because I love everything and anything that has to do with summer and this bag was 100% targeted towards summer.

Glam Bag Products:

Elizabeth Mott Tint & Sass    Full Size $22.99

“All day color that will kick some SASS! That’s right, we said it. Tints & Sass is the only head turning lip and cheek stain that gives you fail proof color every time! The non-drying formula lasts all day, even after a power lunch and yoga session, and was created to accommodate every second of a gal’s busy schedule.”

IMG_4063 IMG_4075I’m not generally a huge fan of tints and lip/cheek stains and unfortunately this one from Elizabeth Mott is no exception. First off the cherry smell is god awful. I would never be able to stand having that on my cheeks or lips for any period of time. It doesn’t blend easily at all and unfortunately doesn’t even last long. Which is surprising for a tint, their supposed to be near impossible to remove.

bareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow 2.0 in ‘The Inspiration’   $20.00

“bareMinerals READY® Eyeshadow 2.0 provides vivid, pigment-packed color with seamless blendability that lasts up to 12 hours. Powered by the proprietary SeaNutritive Mineral™ Complex, it delivers skin-nourishing benefits including reduced appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and puffiness plus boosted moisture levels.”

IMG_4073 IMG_4074Love, love, love this eyeshadow from bareMinerals. The pigment is amazing and I’m obsessed with the colours I was given. I love these shades, perfect for a night out on the town as well as an everyday casual look. I used to wear a purple with brown shadow all the time when I was in high school. I can’t wait to rock that look with these colours again! These shadows will definitely be a staple in my makeup kit.

Marrakesh Hair Care- Marrakesh Ends    Full Size $5.99-$17.99

“Our powerful blend of nutrient-rich Argan Oil, from Morocco, ultra fortifying Hemp Seed Oil, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, and Panthenol seals and repairs split ends, while preventing future damage. Ends will naturally look and feel thicker with long-lasting frizz and static control that is safe for color treated hair!”

IMG_4067 IMG_4065How to use: Apply a small amount (2-3 pumps) to wet or dry hair, concentrating on the ends/bottom half of your hair. Leave in and style as usual. For best results, use daily in combination with your favorite Marrakesh Hair Care products.

I was so excited to receive this hair care product! My ends are terribly split and in need of some major TLC. Because I colour mostly the ends of hair to achieve the ombre look and I also straighten my hair on a regular basis my ends suffer. This lovely hair product from Marrakesh is going to repair my ends and prevent future damage.

Hang Ten Dark Tanning Oil SPF 08   Full Size $11.99

“Highlight your healthy glow with our organically indulgent dark tanning oil. Rich in vitamins, antioxidants, & exotic plant extracts. Tan naturally!”

IMG_4069 IMG_4070Now anything to do with tanning I usually love. I was very excited to see a tanning product in my Ipsy glam bag this month. Sadly I’m pretty put off by the smell of this product from Hang Ten. It’s strong and very artificial smelling. However, once on the smell isn’t crazy over powering so I think I could handle it. I haven’t had the chance to really try this product out. But from what I hear it’s pretty great. I just wish it had a better scent to it.

wHet Nail Polish in ‘Facetious’    $15.00

“Facetious is defined as playfully jocular or humorous, and that’s exactly how you’ll feel in this flashy shade from wHet Nail Polish. This chip resistant, high shine, vegan polish is “three free” and void of harmful chemicals like formaldehyde, toluene, and dpd (dibutyle phthalate). Plus, it’s exclusively made in the USA, and never tested on animals.”

IMG_4061 IMG_4123I love that this nail polish from wHet is not tested on animals, it’s one of the first things that caught my eye. I also really love the colour. It does take a good 3 coats to get a good shade out of it. But it applies evenly and easily, just needs a little extra drying time. I will definitely to be rocking this shade on my toes in the fall. I had never heard of wHet cosmetics before and if you haven’t you should 100% check out there website! It’s so freaking cool, very appealing to the eye. It had my immediate attention. I will most definitely be checking out more of their products.

IMG_4076Well, my loves there was July’s Ipsy Glam Bag. I love how targeted it was to these summer months. I’m completely obsessed with the bareMinerals eyeshadow I received, it was by far my favorite product this month. And I cannot wait for my split ends to repaired and restored. I also freaking love the hot pink makeup bag!

What was in your Ipsy Glam Bag this month?
