No More Winter Woes

My loves,

I don’t know about any of you but I can very easily fall into a makeup routine. I wear the same makeup every single day and I forget to switch it up. Since it’s January and the beginning of a new year, I decided that I was going to try harder to switch up my makeup looks. I’m going to be more daring with my looks, try different shades of eyeshadow and try to wear liquid liner FAR more often, because it makes my eyes look oh so glam! SO here’s my ‘No More Winter Woes’ makeup look of the day.

IMG_5249IMG_5244Okay, okay, I know this is not a daring look by any means. Please people, it’s called baby steps. I do love my matte eye shadows however, so this lovely palette works perfectly for me and has a variety of shades for me to choose from. I decided to go for a very subtle gray smokey eye. I used only two colours to achieve this look; ‘Matt Molly’ a creamy beige nude for the base of course, which I blended up towards the brow bone and ‘Matt Abdul’ a soft purple grey that I blended into the outer corner of my eyes to give a nice subtle pop of colour while still maintaining a natural day look. Soft, pretty and fit for getting over those winter woes.

If you are anything like me and prefer those matte eye shadows, this is a perfect palette to purchase. It is from theBalm and is called Meet Matt(e), it’s $42.00 and has 9 wonderful shades to choose from with cute catchy names (which is obviously a plus). I swear every marketing scheme works on me. I’m a sucker for cute packaging, cute names and darn right enticing advertisements.

  1. okay so what is on your nails lovely? I love a ‘no-nonsense’ look and I’ll be pulling out my Meet Matte palette to try this out. Can you tell me more about the CoverFX cream foundation?

    • I have Classic Pace and New York Trend on my nails (both Entity Gel Polish Colours) And Cover FX cream foundation is amazing! It’s like a second skin, I used it as concealer instead of all over.
